[by west coast telegraph.] Beaxet, 4th December, 20 a.m. Wind, N.W. Weather, raining hard siuce six last night. Rivers not up yet. Coach left at ft this morning. 4 p.m. The man drowned on Friday last in the Taipo was named Patmore. Another accident occurred yesterday near Blake's camp, in the Teremakau, by which two men, whose names I cannot learn, lost their lives. One was Mr. Blake's packer. They were both crossing the river on one horse, and in consequence of his falling, they were both drowned. This accident increases the number of deaths by drowning to four, within a period of six days, and all within a few miles of each other. — Lyttelton Times.
