VINCENT COUNTY COUNCIL
The following is the Order Paper to be consideredat the Council meeting to be held on Wednesday next, the 28th inst. 1. Cr M’Cartht to move That the prayer of the petition of the sett'era at the Makarora Valley re the erection of a jetty at the head of Lake Wan ika be granted.
2. Cr M’Carthv to move—That the sum of L3O be voted re the erection of a bridge over the Lindis River, subject to the approval of the County Engineer.
3. Cr. Sheppard to move -That the balance of the LIOO voted by the Council as a subsidy to the Tinkers Sludge Channel Co be paid in three yearly instalments, such payments to be made on the certificate of the County Engineer or other officer that an equal sum has been spent by those inter* ested in keeping the Channel in repair.
4. Cr. Tobin to move—That a sum not exceeding L 5 be voted for a road at the back of Schoolhouse, Lowburn. 5. Cr Tobin to move-—That the surfacemen on the Rocky Point Road be also instructed to keep the road from Cromwell to Locharburn, Wanaka Road, in repair.
6. Cr. Anderson to move—That a new ford and approaches thereto be made in the Nevis River.
7. Cr. Anderson to move—That the County Engineer report on deviation required on the Cromwell and Nevis Road at a side cutting between Parcell’s property and gate on top of Range.
8. Cr. Anderson to move—That the Southland County Council be communicated with re construction of road Nevis to Nokomai Bush and Nevis to Athol road.
9. Cr Macginnis to move—That the sum ot L 5 ba voted for repairing the ro id leading from Dry Gully to Conroy’s. 10, Cr. Pitches to move—That the County Engineer be instructed to prepare plans i\gd specifications for forming and gravelling about 40 chains of main road in Block XI Ida Valley, and tenders be called for next meeting of Council.
