DUNSTAN RACING CLUB.

A meeting ot the Dunstan Racing Club was held ar. the Port Phillip Hote l , on Monday, December 10, at 8 p.m. Present: Messrs Welsford (Chairman), Attfield, Holden, A. R. Maokay, Jeffery, Joss, Fache, Stevens, and the Secretary. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. It was resolved—‘’That the sole use of the working of the totalisator for the club he given to Messrs Solomon and Murrell, of Cromwell, and that they receive 4 per cent on the total amount put through, the club retaining 6 per cent. ■, and that Mr Jeffery and the Secretary be appointed to supervise and arrahge matters connected with the carrying out and conduct of working the same.” It was also carried that the club vote a bonus of L2 IDs to Messrs Whetham and Walker, of Dunedin, to assist the undertaking of the publi-hing of a Turf Register. The election of officers was then proceeded with : President, S. Welsfmd ; Vice Preaident, J. Stronach ; Treasurer, B. Naylor; Secretary, J. S. Dickie ; Clerk of Scales, L. D. Maegeorgn ; Clerk of the Course, T. T. VV. Maokay ; Starter, A. R. Mackay ; Judge, Jack so 1 Keddell ; Handicapners, Messrs Attfield, Campbell, and Jeffery ; Stewards, Messrs G. Fache, F. D. Jeffery, M. J. Macgiimig, C. Attfield, S. Welsford, W Fraser, J. Campbell. The following motions were carried : That five smwar 3 form a quorum. That the sale of privileges (booth, etc., etc.), in separate iots, be sold by auction on Saturday, 22nd inrt. That the Secretary be instructed to post programmes to the various clubs within the Provincial District of Otago, and any public place he may deem necessary. That Mr Jeffery be empowered to make all necessary inquiries re the grant of race course reserve, and the fencing in of same, A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the proceedings.
