THURSDAY, 28 th DECEMBER, 1882. At Twelve o clock. IMPORTANT SALE OF THIRTEEN AGRICULTURAL FARMS, LAKE WAKATIPU DISTRICT. MESSRS F. DANIEL & Co. are instructed by the Proprietors, Messrs B. Hallenstein & Arndt, to submit by Auction, on tbe Ground, Thurlby Domain on the above date, the whole of that flue estate known as -THURLBY DOMAIN, situate within an easy distance of Queenstown and Arrowtown, and in close proximity to three Flour Mills. The whole property, comprising !,500 acres, Is well knoavn to be one of the choicest in New Zealand. With ’the exception of about 100 acres, the whole can he ploughed by a Doable-furrow Plough, and as the Proprietors have never allowed more than about 400 acres to be cultivated for Grain in one season—the rest being laid down in English grass—tbe land is in good heart, and intending purchasers can rely upon getting at once good crops. The average yield is unsurpassed in New Zealand, and the Grain produced in the district has always commanded top prices in both Provincial and London markets. Wakatipu Barley is eagerly bought up by Dunedin brewers, and the Wheat, owing to the sublime climate of the Lakes, has fetched the Highest Price iu London of any in the world. Attention is also drawn to the growing importance of the neighboring Maoetown reefs, which, as they get more opened, will employ a very large consuming population, enhancing the value of everything that can bo pioducedon a farm. The TERMS OF PAYMENT fixed by the Proprietors are a convincing proof of their estimate of the values and capabili'ies of the farms. Only one fifth cash, and the balance on mortgage at 7 per cent. ; onefifth repayable in eighteen months ; and iho remaining three-fifths fur a term of live years. Never before has such a good opportunity been offered to those who intend to settle on the land, ard acquire a home in one of the most beautiful and healthy districts of New Zealand, which, as the population increases, will give a special value to this land and double and treble its present value. Intending buyers are requested to pay a visit to Thurbly Domain, where Mr Arndt will be glad to give every Information.
