In an artie'e up n the lecent prosecutions in connection with the Akaroa ajsnn cases, the Lyttelton Times says:—“ The MTntoshes may he innocent, but they ought to prove their innocence to the satisfaction of a jury. As we think there is a decided prima facie case aarinst them, we aro justified in the regret thattheopporlunby for following up clues was not afforded hy tho committal of the M’lntoshcs to take their trial at tho Supremo Court.”
