THE EASTER REVIEW.
A meeting of Volunteer officers was held on Tuesday last at the Garrison Hall to make further arrangements for the Easter Review. The various committees appointed submitted their reports, which showed that the country companies would be represented, besides the troop of Hussars and Garrison Band from Invercargill. About 500 officers and men are expected to take part in the demonstration. The various companies will assemble on Saturday morning at the Garrison Hall, and from thence march to the Caledon-an Grounds, where the sports are to he held.
The brigade will parade for divine service at the Caledonian Society’s Grounds on Sunday. Service will commence at 2.80 p.m., and will be conducted by the Rev. Rutherford Waddell, M.A. The musical portion of the service will be led by the Invercargill Band and the moat powerful choir ever assembled In Dunedin, the leading choir-masters having signified their willingness to assist, and the majority of the best amateurs having promised their aid. In addition to the Hundredth Realm and other sacrad songs, the Hallelujah chorus will he sung, and it may reasonably be expected that the service will prove most impressive and attractive. Admission to portion of the stand not occupied by the choir will he by ticket, to be obtained frpm the Volunteer officers, A collection will be made at the gates, and the to+al proceeds of the service will be for the benefit of the Benevolent Institution.—Morning Herald.
