Sir, In answer to numerous Inquiries, permit to state that my acceptance of tho editorship of the “Morning Herald” will not interfere with my position, either aa representative of the district or member of the County Council, so long as I am honored with the confidence of the electors and rate* payers. I shall not willingly sever my connection with the people whom 1 know so well and regard so highly, and 1 hope to render them increased service in my new capacity.-I am, etc., w VINCENT PYKE.
