VINCENT COUNTY COUNCtI.

The following is the Order Pap r for special mooting convened to be held on the 25r,h instant. 1. Considei ation of estimate of the proposed expenditure of the Council during the year ending 31st March, 1882. 2. To consider of making a rate for the said year. 1. To consider and determine which officer shall be dispensed with in consequence oi the amalgamation of the offices of Clerk and Collector. 2. To consider of the revocation or alteration of the resolution affirmed at the last ordinary meeting respecting the erection of a pout or chair at the Luggate j and to order therein as may bo deemed advisable. 3. To consider of the publication in pamphlet form of the Morning Herald report of the Counties' Hail way Com-mis-inners’ tour through Central Otago,

CENTRAL OTAGO LAND LEAGUE. A mooting of the Clyde Branch Was held in the Town Hall, Clyde, on April 16th. Present— Messrs Welsford (Chairman), T. Sims, McArthur aud Faohe (Secretary). The minutes of the previous meeting were road and confirmed. A draft memorial to the Minister of Lands was read. Several amendments having heen made,it was resolved to forward it to the other branches of the League. Resolved—That Mr Welsford be the delegate from this branch to meet other delegates for the purpose of agreeing to the memorial. That the Secretary notify other branches of this appointment. The meeting then adjourned.
