INTERCOLONIAL.
A Melbourne telegram of tlie 23rd instant says the Victorian Government intend to support a BiU which will shortly be introduced in Parliament to exclule the Chinese from voting at elections. The steamer City of Melbourne arrived Sydney on the 22nd ultimo from Noumea, and reports that tire steamer India has arrived from New Ireland with 30(1 of the Marquis do Pay’s immigrants. Their provisions and water were exhausted. They report that the Colony at New Ireland is virtually abandoned They arc entirely dependent for the common necessaries of life on the benevolence of the New Caledonian authorities. Superintendent Nicholson has stated before the Police Board nf Inquiry, which is now being held at Melbourne, that the total cost of searching for the Kellys was L 22 225. At Sydney news has come to hand from New Guinea to the effect that four native teachers, with their wives and families, have been murdered by the Natives.
