Mr Donald Stronacb (on belnlf of the | New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency I Company, Limited) reports as follows for j the Week (riding November 10>h : Fat Cattle. The moderate supply 161 i head (of which about SO were stores) were i yarded at Burnside to-day. Trade demand : was somewhat languid, but last week’s | prices were, about maintained. Fat bill- j locks brought from 1,6 to 1,11 lOs j and! cows, L 5 12s Gd to 1.9 2i Cd. We sold a draft, on account of Mr William Shand. at L 7 10s to L 9 10s for bullocks, and L 6 10s for cows ; also, on account of Messrs Hrugh Brothers, 31 store bullocks at LG 10s, aiid U cows at L2 10s per head. Wo quote, for prime beef, 25s per 1091b. Fat Calves.—Eleven were yarded, and sold at from IGw to 25s per head. Fat Sheep. -1703 were penned, of which about 100 were merino in the wool. The market was languid, and between 400 and 500 were turned out. as prices did not realise sellers’ expectations. Shorn crossbreds sold at from 7a 91 to 9i fld, and merinos in the wool at 9s. We sold, on account of Mr John Buckland, a draft of Leicester, shorn, at 8i 3,1, and of merinos at quotations. We quote, mutton, shorn, at li'l to IJ.I per lb; and in tho wool, at 2.1.1, Fat Lambs showed a decided decline. 619 were offered, and chiefly arid at from 4s 61 to Ss 61. On behalf of Messrs ,1. C. Buckland and William Shand, we disposed of 165 head at quotations. Fat Pigs.—Twenty yardcl, of which the greater part sold at from 35s to 42s 6 I. Store Sheep.—We have enquiries for several lots of store sheep. Country Sale.—We held a clearing sale at Mr Thomas Murray’s, Mount Stewart, on sth November, and disposed of the stock and implements at satisfactory prices. Wool —On Monday wo disposed of several small lots of greasy at prices equal to last week's quotations. Sheepskins.- At our weekly Sale held on Monday we cleared a full catalogue, which met with fair competition, The prices realised last week, however, were scarcely maintained. Wo quote butchers' crossbreds from 5s to 6s 81 ; merinos 4s, to 5s Gd : skins in bales, up to 7d. Hides. - Demand continues good. No alteration in prices to report. Tallow. Market quiet. We have placed during the past week a small quantity of well rendered tallow at 245. We quote for rough fat. 15s to 1G s6 1. _. Grain —Wheat ; We have no alteration in last week’s prices to report. Demand f.'r prime milling samples continues geo 1. We quote prime milling, 4i C! to 4s 7d ; inferior to medium, 3s 61 to 4s 31. Oats ; ■ Demand very limited. A few large parcels have come to hand lately. Prices, bnweVer, remain unaltered. We quote prime milling, Is 7d to Is Si ; feed, Is 41 to Is 6>l. Barley :No change.to report. Prices remain at last week’s quotations.
