By Councillor Pyke— That this Council, recognizing the claims of the Otago Benevolent. Institution to general support, resolves to appropriate the sum of £ per annum, payable in half-yearly instalments of equal amount, towards the maintenance thereof. No. 3. By Cr Naylor—That the Engineer be requested to prepare plans and specifications for the erection of the Clyde Bridge, and that tenders fur (lie same lie called for, to be dealt with at the next ordinary meeting. No. 4. By Councillor Pyke—That a further sum of £4OO be approp'ia'ed towards the construction of the Pipeclay Sludge Channel, to be expended under the direction and supeiiuteudeuce of the County Engineer. No. 5. By Councillor Pyke—That the sum of £3OO he appropriated for repaiting and improving the Cromwell-Fevis road.
