The weather was cold and boisterous in the extreme, and the racing below mediocre. The following is a summary of tho different events. Thursday, January 16. Maiden Plate, of 30 sovs. Taggart’s Boomerang and M’Morran’s Roderick only having been entered, this race was struck out of the programme. Grand Stand Handicap, of GO sovs., and a sweep of three sovs. each, to go to second horse. Open to all horses. Distance, two miles. Mr. Hazlett’s b g”Atlas, aged, by The Peer—Barbara, 7st. 51b. Eight horses started. The race lay between Roderick, Flora, and Wild Rose, the former proving victorious.
