DUNSTAN JOCKEY CLUB.

A meeting of the Commit'ee of the above Club was held at the Port Phillip Hotel yesterday, the sth inst. Present: -Mr. VV. Frasor, President (in the chair), and about a dozen other members - Th Chariman opened the meeting by rending a Icttirieceivid from the Canterbuiy Jo(kcy Club, lefeiing to the disqualification of the chestnut mare Peeress : a'so the disqualifying of the jockey, William M 'Kay. Considerable ensued, resulting in n resolution being passed,- That this Club nppvoucs the action taken by the Canterbury Jockey Club, and hereby disqualifies Peeress (the mare referred to) from ever nrmingon the Dunstan Jockey Club Racecourse, and also that the jockey, William M'Kay. 1 e disqualified from ever riding on the Dunstan Jockey Club Racecourse. Tho sub-committee appointed to report on the •sni.'g-sted alterations and improvements to be made to the Grand Stand and P>acacou.ise, through their Chairman, stated that, on examination, they fotm 1 the stand to be unsafe, an 1 rccommm lo I that the fonndation bj thoroughly secured ; also t at refreshment, Stewards', jockey, and weighing rooms be built After discussion, it was resolved, That tend rs be invited for the work.
