ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
Tv T { do not identify ourselves with the opinions that may be expressed by our correspondents.] (TO TilE EDITOR OF THE DUN ST AN TIMES.) In your issue of the29th. ultimo, 1 notice that at the meeting of the Miners’ Association, held on the 23rd ultimo, for the purpose of electing a Delegate to proceed to Lawrence, Mr. Graham was instructed as the representative of Blacks, Mr. Graham would confer an honor upon many miners interested in the formation and success of a Black’s Miners' Association, if he would inform them by what authority, and under whose instructions he aotrd on the above occasion, also, why he did not consult with the Committee that was elected at the pub ■he meeting held here on the 20th, when ~io necessity for forming a Black’s Assneia 1 ion was first brought under notice, and when it was distinctly understood that Blacks would not send a represen l ative to the forth coming meeting to he hold at Clyde, T would also rvish to know his reasons for not holding the meeting of members on the 27th, for the purpose of electing a permanent Committee in accordance \ii hj a resolution that was unanimously carried at the first public raeetin ■ on the 20th. I trust Mr. Graham will give a full exolanatibn of his late extraordinary conduct as I can assure him that the course he is at present pursuing (that of taking upon him self everything in connection with the Association) i? not only an insult to thos» who have enrolled themselves as members, but is also the cause of many not coming forward to join the Association. By inserting this you will greatly ob’ige, PRINCIPUS OBSTA. Black’s December, 3, 1872.
