DUNSTAN JOCKEY CLUB.

A meeting of the subscribers was held at Cox’s Port Philip Hotel on Wednesday, the 21st instant, at 8, p.in. About a dozen members were present. Mr. James Pazlett, Vice President, occupied the Chair, and said the principal object of the meeting was to fix date of Spring Meeting, and to draw out the pro;ram.me. A discussion ensued as to whether the general business'of the Club should be gore into, there not being anything like a full meeting it was decided not, and it was resolved,— That a summoned nr ctirg of the Club be held on the evenii g of the I9th September, for the purpose < f electing Officers for the ensuing'year, to take into consideration the fencing in of the race-course, and dealing with the business of the Club generally. ' Mr. Fames, rne of the sub-comm ; tt< e appointed to canvass for subscriptions, stated that about 40/. was already on his list, he thought it would eventually reach 60/. Resolved: That the Duustm Jock<y Club Spring Race Mg ting be held on Friday and Saturday, the 20th and 21st September, 1872. Resolved:-That the programme as drawn up (see Advertisement) be agreed to. Resolved : —That tie right to occupy the grandstand, horse paddock, end right to issue rare cards, be sold by Public Auctio.. on Wednesday, September 11, at 2, p.m. Messrs. Welsiford and Cox were appointed a sub-eommitteo to get the Course in order, and Messrs. A. R. B. Thoms n and Grindley were appointed Handicappers. A vote of thanks to the Chair terminate i the meeting.
