M'Gettigau of Spear Grass Flat, had presented him with a cow for the Institution, and further, that he would purchase it at its current value, if the Committee desired ; and one from the Provincial Treasurer, enclosing amount of subsidy. due to 30th 'of June, 80/. Os. 6d. Resolved—That the letters as read be received. The outward correspondence, including one to Mr. M’Guinnis, accepting of his offer, and nine others, were read and adopted. Number of patients admitted during the mouth, 4 ; discharged, 4 , died, 1 ; remaining in the house, 8. Average daily number ot indoor patients, seven and a half; and o .t-door, one and a half. Number of outdoor patient* attended to during th* month, twelve. A discussion ensued relative to the outdoor patients, as from the repoit of the names furnished of those seeking relief, it was seen that many were in a position to pay for medical attendance, it was ultimately resolved that the Resident Surgeon be instructed to furnish accounts to those parties who were in a position to pay. Tiie President stated that the auditors appointed by the subscribers had both left the district, and as umler the new regulations, the quarterly statements to the Government required auditors, it would be necessary to appoint auditors pro tem, as he deemed it scarcely necessary to convene a meeting of subscribers for the purpose.Resolved, That Messrs. Denniston and C.ark be appointed auditors, subject to the approval of the subsciibers. Mr. W. Auckland was elected a member of the Visding Committee, vice Mr. C. P. Beck, retiring. A .vote of thanks to the.Chair terminated the proceedings.
