CLYDE SCHOOL.

A meeting of the Committee was held at the School House on Monday, July 29, at 8, b.m. There were present, Messrs. Rankin, M'Connochie, Grindley, and Christophers, Clerk. Mr. M'Connoclrie occupied the Chair. The minutes of the last nrceting were read and confirmed. Tiro following letters wer a read and received, —From the Education Board, dated July 3, 1872 ; do., of the Bth July, arrd a telegram of theSth July.' From Mr. J. 1). Stevens, dated July 15, stating that he was making arrangements for taking charge of the school by the end of the month. Front Naseby School Cornmrttee, asking _for particulars of the Regulations regarding School fees payable. The Clerk stated that ha had furnished the necessary information to the Naseby Committee. The following accounts wore passed for payment : —A. D. Wilson, tor Registered grates, Ti. 10s. ; Mr. Marshall, ink, 25.; advertising Master wanted, ISs. ; W. Itrsley, Coal 10s. ; and ditto, 6s. Mr. M ‘Coniroolrie was empowered to employ tradesmen to place the Master’s residence in good repair, and the Clerk to arrange with the Contractor, Mr. Cambridge for a front and side gates for the new School-house. On the motion of Mr. Grindley, Mr. Hastie’s name was added to the sub-committce elected to canvass for subscriptions in aid of the Building fund. It was resolved that Mr.(Petrie’s offer to erect a stone dividing fence, or sell the surplus stones to the Committee be declined. Resolved, That the new School bo opened in September, with a kettle-drum and Concert in aid of the Building Fund. The meeting then closed with the usual vote to the Chair.
