CLYDE TOWN COUNCIL.

The usual monthly meeting of the Coun. ci l was hehl in the Council Ohamhera on Wedne* ay evening last the 2nd instant. Present, Janies Haslett, Esq , Mayor, and the full Council. The minutes of the last monthly meeting anl special meeting were read and continue 1. Correspondence was received from Mr. Hilton, applying for the use of the Town Hall during the Race week. From Mr. Connew, requesting permission to remove loam for building purposes, from the back of the township. Th“ Town Clerk was instructed to advise Mr. Hilton that tenders for the use of the Town Hall during the ensuing race meeting would he advertised for in the “ Dunstan Times.” For the Rangership of the Dunstan commonage, the following applications were received for recommendation by the Council:—William Woo man, John Judge, John Crawford, Thamas Hannon, John Grind ey, John M‘Donald, Thomas Stanbrook, James Connew, an i John Baker. Resolve ', that a ballot be taken, the result being in favor of Thomas Stanbrook. Resolved that Thomas Stanbrook be recommended to his Honor the Superintendent for the appointment of Ranger for the Dunstan Commonage.
