DUNSTAN JOCKEY CLUB.
A meeting of the Committee was held at Cox’s Port Phillip Hotel, on Tuesday evening, the 9th inst. Present; W. Fraser, Esq. (President), J. Hazlott, Esq. (VicePresident), and Messrs. Thomson, Stewart, Christophers, and Welsford. The minutes of last meeting were read and Confirmed. The President stated that the primary object of the meeting was to draw up the programme of the Spring Meeeting, which was then proceeded with. See advertisement. Resolved, That the right to occupy the Grand Stand should bo sold by Public Auction. See advertisement. Resolved, That Messrs. Hazlett and Grindley have the race course put in good order. Messrs. Fraser and Welsford were appointed to collect subscriptions. The Secretary stated that he had received intimation from the Town Clerk that the offer of 30s. per annum for the use of the Council Chambers for conducting the business of the Club had been refused, and that he had received an offer from Mr. J. Cox, of the Port Phillip Hotel to give the Club the exclusive use of the room for 20s. per year. Resolved, That the Secretary be instructed to intimate to Mr. Cox that his offer is accepted, and to prepare agreement, &e. The meeting a Ijourued till Saturday, 10th September, 1870.
