ALEXANDRA TOWN COUNCIL.

The us ial fortnightly meeting of the Council was held in the Council Chamber on Friday evening last. Present : the Mayor, and councillors Beresford and They rs. Thu r .signat on was accepted, and tiie Town Clerk was instructed to reply, and at the same time to convvy the thanks ot the Council lor the prompt and eilieieut manner in which he had aiwavs carried oat the wishes of the Council, and also to express a hope that he will have the good wishes and support of the Clyde people, as he most certainly had of the inhabitants of Alexandra. The Report of the Works Committee, respecting repairs to JLimeriuk-street, was read and adopted.
