CLYDE TOWN COUNCIL.

The usual meeting of the Council was hold on Wednesday evening last Present James Hazlett Esq, Mayor, and Councillors Cambridge, Patterson, Clark and AtkinS.

The minutes of former mootings were read and confirmed.

The inward and outward correspondence was read received and adopted.

The Council went into Committee to meet deputation of the Foresters, with respect to letting Town Hall. The Council agreed to let Town Hall at £lO per annum, the Council lighting the same. The following accounts were rccom. mended for payment M. Marshall, £ll Od. 8d„ W. Wells, £2. The Council resumed business.

Proposed by Councillor Atkins, seconded by Councillor Clark, the accounts recommended be passed for payment. Proposed by Councillor Atkins, seconded by Councillor Patterson, that the Town Hall be let to the Masonic Brethren for twenty six nights a year at £ls.

Proposed by Cr. Clark, seconded by Cr. Cambridge, That Mr, J, Over’s application for £l5O be granted. A vote of thanks to the Chair concluded. the meeting.
