ALEXANDRA TOWN COUNCIL.

The adjourned meeting of the Council wa 8 held in t : io Council Chambers, on Friday evening last Present: the Mayor, and Councillors Jack, Berosford, and Theyers. The minutes of previous meeting were read and con firmed. Inward correspondence read and received, Outward read and approved. A letter was read from the Secretary for Land and Works' office, enclosing a list of sections grant* 1 to the Corporation, as also list of Public Reserves within the Munici.

The Town Clerk was instructed to draw np both these memorials. Proposed by Cr. Theyers, seconded by Cr. Jtc'c that the Town Clerk write to his Honor the Superintendent, calling hisattention to former communications respecting a Commonage for this district.—Carried. The Town Clerk was instructed to call for applications for Valuators for the year 1868-9. •
