CLYDE SCHOOL.

The School Committee held a meeting, at the School House, on Friday, the 27th ult. Present : Messrs. M'Pherson,. George, Hazlett, Hastie, Christophers, and Dr. Shaw. Mr. Hazlett occupied the chair. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The Schoolmaster's monthly report was read ami received. The Visiting Committee's monthly report was considered satisfactory, and accounts amounting to £ 1 10s. were ordered for payment. Proposed by Dr. Shaw, seconded by Mr M'Pherson, That the Clerk he requested to confer with the Schoolmaster respecting the advisability of asking Mr. J. Hislop, Inspector of Schools, to select and purchase in Dunedin books to be distributed to the children as prizes at the next breaking up of the school for the Christmas vacation. Carried. The meeting adjourned after a vote of thanks to the chair.
