Dunedin, Dec. 22, 6 p.m. The s.s. Albion arrived at the Bluff this morning at 11 a.m., left Williams Town on at 3 p.m. on Sunday the 17th. The s.s. Avoca anchored in Hobson's Bay on Punday 16th, at 11 a.m. The delay was caused by the Steamer between v uezand Point de Galle, being three days after her time. Latest news—3 per cent, consols for money 89}. For account 89 J. Bank discount 4 per cent. Money in excess of demand on the Stock Exchange—there is quite a plethora.
Advances on Government Securities are readily made at 21 per cent. All descriptions of combed Wool readily bought at from one penny to a halfpenny advance. Tlie next public sales commence on 15th November. Only 20,000 Bales of Australian are catalogued, and higher prices are expected. The Victorian Loan was successfully placed. Tenders exceeded three millions.
