BROWN TROUT OVA.
Duxedin, This day. At a meeting yesterday of the Acclimatisation Society it was reported that the following brown trout ova had been sent away to Northern ports : — Auckland Society, 20,000 ; Hawke's Bay Society, 36,000 ; Wellington Society, 10,000 ; Wairarapa Society, 30,000 ; Hawera Society, 0000 ; Inangahua County Council, 1000. The first four of these lots had arrived safely at their destinations. The following are still to bo sent : — The Wanganui Society, 20,000 ; Hawke's Bay Society, 12,000.
