THE LUMPER'S STRIKE.

Auckland, This day,

A meeting of the Lumpers' Union was held last night to consider the matter in dispute between the Union and foreign trading vessels as to the working with the crews of such vessels in loading or discharging ships. The Union decided to allow vessels to work one man of the crew to every 300 tons register. This proposal falls in with the view of the masters of vessels. This Uniou rule does not apply to vessels under 50 tons.
