The brig Rio Grande was insured for £250 in the South British and £1000 in a Sydney office. She will be a total loss. Duxedim , , This day. The s.s. Kangaroo, which was wrecked off Cape Campbell on Friday, was owned by the Westport Colliery Company, and was insured with the National Insurance Company for £5500. The National Office had re-insured for the following amounts: — South British and Victoria, £750 each ; New Zealand, Equitable, Union, and Thames and Mersey, £500 each ; Standard, United, and Commercial. Insurance, £250 each ; total, £1250.
