Tenders will be received nt the Public Works Office, Kopua, up to noon to-morrow for the Waipawa railway station additions contract.
Tenders must be sent in to the Public Works Office at Wellington not later than noon to-morrow for the Eureka station buildings contract, Waikato-Thames railway, about thirty-six buildings in all. Applications for the post of clerk and collector to the Wairoa County Council will bo received by the chairman, Mr John Couper, up to 2 p.m. to-morrow. At Mr Ryan's auction sale of furniture and glassware on Thursday a case of confectionery will be offered.
Mr Monteith will hold an auction sale of horses and farming plant at Taradale on Thursday, and on Friday will soil 50 head of cattle'at the Shamrock sale yards.
Acceptances for Mr Stock's handicap, among members of the Wanderers' Bicycle Club, close on Saturday. A general meeting of members of tho Hawke's Bay Jockey Club is convened for Tuesday next, to consider a motion to be submitted by Captain Russell. In addition to the Woodville land to be sold by auction by Mr Lyndon- at his land sale on Tuesday next, ho has received instructions to offer three other valuable sections in the same township. The sale of the Temperance Hotel and section by Messrs Banner and Liddle is postponed till the 20th instant. The registration of dogs within the town district of Hastings has commenced, the registration fee, ss, being payable to Mr Colling-e at the office of the Board.
"P.. Daily Telegraph office, wants to purchase a goat in full nulk. Mr James Curry, Havelock, delivers oaten chaff to any part of the borough at £b 10s per ton. The Bon Marchc is not selling off yet.
