JANUARY CUSTOMS AND BEER DUTIES.
Wellington, This day. Tho Customs revenue for last month for tho colour was £122,198 12s, as against £123,050*86 for the corresponding month last year. All tho returns showed un increase on the amounts collected in December. For the last month the principal, amounts were:—Auckland, £20,710 3s 3d; Wellinfrtou, * £19,930 lis 2d; DunediU, £37,263 15s 4d; Christchurch, £10,4.11 Is 6d. The beer duty list month was, £1330. 2s lOd, and for the corresponding inbnth of 1883 £6227 Is Bd. -The following are tho amounts-collected at the principal ports last month:—Auckland, £1079 10s "5d ;
Christchurch, £901 3s 2d ; Dunedin, £1058 16s 9d; Wellington, £382 10s Id.
