REWI'S PENSION STOPPED.
Auckland, This day. The Hon. Mr Bryce has stopped the Government pension allowed the chief Rewi in consequence of his recent action re surveys. Rewi, it is believed, has been animated by jealousy of the importance attached to Wahanui, and also to be influenced by favorable feelings towards Tawhiao.
