MINISTERS DEPUTATIONISED BY UNEMPLOYED.

Mr Rollcston and Mr Mitchelson received a deputation from tho unemployed working men at tho City Council Chambers on Saturday night. The Ministers were addressed by the Mayor, and Messrs Montgomery, Holmes. Wynn-Williams, _ and White, who strongly urged the necessity of finding immediate work for the men. Tho married men unemployed represent 1234 persons in destitute circumstances. The Ministers said they would consider what could be done, and would let the Mayor know on Monday. A large crowd of men were outside waiting the result, and were very orderly.
