A deputation from the Chamber of Commerce waited upon the Hon. E. Mitchelson to-day with the view of calling attcnton to the necessity for tho revision of the railway rates, more particularly on tho Lyttelton and Christchurch and Christchurch .and Timaru lines. The deputation having fully explained their objections to the present tariff, the Hon. E. Mitchelson promised to give them full .onsideration, and forward a reply in due course.
