Monsieur Lcbeau, one of tho oldest French settlers at Akaroa, it is stated,_ fell over a steep bank yesterday, and was killed instantaneously.
Oamaru, This day
A miner named Fritter ivas killed on Monday by a fall of earth in his claim at Livingstone.

Mr Duncan Sutherland has been reelected Chairman of the County Council. He has held that office for a number of years.
