Scotland's Pride gained the first prize as the best three-year-old at the Highland Society's SJioav, and also the Princo of Wales' prize of 40 guineas for the best mare in the yard. Overdraft's dam, Highland Mary, has only succumbed in the slioavyard to her oavh mother, Violet (dam of Lord Castlereagh and Lady Burdette), who Avas shoAvn fourteen times and Avon thirteen first prizes. It Avill be seen by reference to the above that Overdraft is closely related to the best horses in the world. He gained first prize as a yearling at Timaru, first prize as a two-year-old and first prize as a three-year-old at the HaAvko's Bay Slioaa-s in 1882 and 1883. Overdraft is a bright bay, -with dark points. He stands 10-2 on short legs, with wonderfully powerful bone and substance.
