LAND "DUMMYISM."-CASES TO BE RE-HEARD.

The question of dummyism, Avhich was decided at the last meeting of the AVaste Lands Board, is to bo re-opened under tho following circumstances : — There Avero two parties of suspected dummies, ono being iv tho AVaikouaiti district in connection Avith the ran formerly held by Mr Orbell, and the other in the Silver Peak district, Av.ith reference to the run partly owned by Messr Gellibrand and Co." At the meeting of the Board last Aveek Mr Stout carried a motion cancelling the licenses of tho holders in both districts. This having been carried after Messrs Green and Clark had left the meeting these gentlemen yesterday asserted that before they left a resolution had actually been negatived on the casting vote of the chairman Avhich proposed to cancel the licenses of the holders on Mr Orbell's run. The Chairman does not agree Avith this assertion, maintaining that no resolution Avas formally put except Mr Stout's, but on the ground that the final decision Avas arrived at under a misapprehension by Mr Green and Mr Clark the Board has agreed to grant :i re-hearing in the Orboll's run cases Avhen Air Stout returns from AVellington.
