HERETAUNGA ROAD BOARD.

Tho general meeting of tho Heretaunga Road Board took placo yesterday. Messrs Chapman, Foreman, Williams, and Wellwood (chairman). The following correspondence was received : — From Mr M. E. Groom, requesting tho Board to do certain repairs to the road leading from Maraekakaho to his station.— Consideration deferred till next meeting. From ratepayers in East Hastings, requesting- the Board to form culvert crossings over Makiri creek at its junction with Southampton, Lyndon, and Eastbourne streets. —Resolved that tho request of the petitioners be acceded to, and that tenders bo at once called for the work. The Board next proceeded to consider the report of the sub-committee appointed to ascertain the cost of making crossings over the creek on Chapman's road.—Moved by Mr Williams, seconded by Mr Foreman, and carried, " That crossings be made over the creek in terms of tho sub-committee's report, the work to be let by tender at once." ' There being no other business the meeting dissolved.
