A destructive fire occurred at AA r yndham this morning. The buildings destroyed were D. Milne's Farmer's Arms Hotel (with hall attached), and J. Rankin's store. The firo broke out in the hall, and so gave time to save a large quantity of furniture from the hotel. Rankin's stock Avas insured for £200 in the New Zealand oflice, and for £000 in the South British office, and Milne's furniture for £300 in the Ncav Zealand office.
