ASSAULT IN A POLICE COURT.
Auckland, This day,
A scene occurred in the Police Court today. A rather notorious Avomeu named Anne Vesey Avas charged Avith abusive language. AVhile the principal Avituess, a woman, Avas giving evidence, the prisoner drcAV a saucer from the folds of her dress and struck the Avituess twice violently on the head, covering her Avith blood. The Court sentenced the prisoner to tAvo months imprisonment
