July 16. In the Chamber of Deputies to-day M. Challemal Lacour, Minister for Foreign Affairs, stated, in reply to a question regarding the Anglo-French difficulty at Tamatave, that the French Government would act Avith justice and make duo reparation if it Avas found the commander of the French squadron in Malagasy Avatcrs had committed an error in his dealing with the British authorities at Tamatave.
