MEMO. ON ANNEXATION OF NEAV GUINEA.

BRISBANE

This day

The Ministry have adopted a memorandum on the question of the annexation of New Guinea to bo transmitted to the Secretary of State and all tho colonies. The document suggests that, in the first place, joint representation should bo made by all the colonies to the Imperial Government, urging further consideration of the question and a final decision in regard to New Guinea. It is further proposed that tho Home Government should be invited to move in the direction of piwiding a Federal Government for Australasia.
