The Aveather was overcast, and the course avus in splendid condition. The folloAving arc the events : — maiden plate. CHAMPAGNE £TAE_.. 3EayfloAver ~ ~ 1 Jessie .. .. .. .. - This-race avus a gift to 3layiloAver. OAMARU CUP. Tasman (Derritt) ~ .. 1 —Envy filly also ran, but Avas disqualified. Envy filly led all the Avay. Tasman was pulled up at the entrance to the straight. 'The rider of Tasman entered a protest against Eirvy filly for running inside a post, and the protest being sustained the stakes were awardod .tp.Tas_a.a_t.
