AUCKLAND.
This day
At the sitting of the General Assembly yesterday the Moderator welcomed the commission from the Presbyterian Church of Otago and Southland, namely, the Rev. Lindsay Mac-kie of the First Church, Dunedin, and the Rev. Mr Kirkland and MiAdams. It was agreed to prepare an address to Sir William Jervois, and to open an enquiry into the circumstances under which the Rev. Charles Eraser has been deposed from the Ministry by the Presbytery of Christchurch.
