Tln\ day. Very heaiy rain fell here during the night, being over four inches. Mr Archibald Forbes lectured here last night to a crowded house.
At the native meeting to be held at Mokau on Monday the throwing open of lands to Europeans will be decided on, and the Government urged to commence the railway at once to connect Tarauaki with Te Awamutu.
