October 9. At the criminal sittings of the Supreme Court on Saturday John Matheson, William O'Keefe, and Hugh Storen, three lads, convicted of malicious injury to property, were released on recognisances to come up foriudgment when called on, and paying the value of Mr Hoffman's plate glass window, which was smashed, some £15. Thomas Gorman, convicted of perjury, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. Mr Fantham, of Cambridge, Waikato, summoned the Huntsmen Hunt Club for trespas?. Judgment was given for plaintiff against twelve defendants for 10s damages, costs £10 10a and against four defendants, with costs £10 10s.
