July 18. There was a great demand for the revised edition of the New Testament § Saturday. Messrs Simpson and Co. sold 620 copies, and could have sold 250 more if they had them. The Druids have resolved to celebrate the centenary of their society on August 30 by a torchlight procession, concert, and ball. Some property in Manche9ter-street, near the centre of the city, was sold on Saturday for £78 per foot. Miss Leaf arrived here on Saturday to join the Pirates of Penzance company.
