The petitioners in Moritzen's case have imformed the Governor that tney canuot consider the petition so Jong ks the case is before the Supreme Court, but when the charges are dealt witi> the petition will be considered. The good accounts from the Cape diamond fields have induced six of the Dunedin police force to send in their resignations.
The committee has decided on keeping the exhibition open two days next week, the gross proceeds to go to the local charities.
