DUNEDIN.
June 8. The Queen's Theatre and buildings have been sold to Mr G. W. Elliott for £1600, subject to a mortgage of £4400. At the City Court to-day John Anderson was charged with stealing a large quantity of jewellery from the shop of George Hooper, Christchurch, Only part of the property was recovered. Prisoner was remanded for eight days. John Connell, charged with receiving £70 worth of the same, was also remanded for eight days.
