TIMARU.
June 8. A meeting of the unemployed was held on the breakwater this morning, about one hundred and fifty being present. The immigration policy, the practice of sending large sums of money out of the country, and the large landholders, were all alike condemned. A committee was formed to interview the Mayor and Mr Turnbnll, the member for the district, to hurry on the laying of the water pipes now lying idle, and thus absorb the surplus labor.
