AUCKLAND.

June 1. A fire broke out in Graham-street last night at a house occupied by Mr Anderson, of the Metropolitan hotel, which did serious damage to a four-roomed wooden cottage owned by Mrs Shepherd. The Fire Brigade was promptly on the spot and extinguished it. The house was insured in the Victoria office for £.300.

Reliable information has been received that the detached squadron will visit Auckland, being due here on the 28th June; remains at least five days, and then goes to Fiji.
