DUNEDIN.
June 1. A man named Peter McGuire is supposed to have been drowned on Saturday night whilst crossing the Molyneux river at Moa Flat. A man named Knight has been committed for trial for cheating at a game of poker at Lawrence. His counsel's contention, that there was no such offense known to the law, was overruled.
